The HF200S, 200-cfm CBRN filter set is the civilian equivalent to the US Army/Navy M98 (M56**). The HF200S removes toxic gases and particulates to provide purified air for a variety of applications, including mobile shelters, vehicles and ship borne collective protection systems. While the HF200S filter set is ideal for all medium airflow requirements, it can be applied to higher airflow applications such as building protection. Multiple HF200S filter sets can be combined to create 400-cfm and up to 1400-cfm on a single transportable filter units, and multiples of these units can be employed to accommodate even larger airflow requirements. For example, the US Navy's Collective Protection System (CPS) uses as many as 200, M98 filter sets (the military equivalent to the HF200S) per ship. The HF200S filter sets are used on the military M84, M95 and M96 filtration systems as well as Hunter's FFA series of collective protection systems and MCRF housings used by the US Air Force and Army for building protection and other transportable shelters. The M28 system used in CPDEPMEDS and other applications utilizes a version of this filter incased in a hermitically sealed canister (HSFC). Hunter's HF200S filter sets are designed and tested to provide protection from all known chemical and biological agents.
