General Product Description:
The H12GPFU-24 CBRN filtration system is the smallest and least expensive form of collection protection used by the US Military today. In the H12GPFU-24, a single filter unit supplies filtered air via hoses to vehicle crewmembers, providing individuals with protection against CBRN agents while marinating the mask canister filter fresh.

The forced air into the mask converts the mask from a negative pressure protection into a positive pressure protection. The system provides enough air for breathing as well as defogging the mask lenses and compensating for irregular fitting of the mask over the user face.

The H12GPFU-24 filter system consists of air purifier, hose assemblies, and installation hardware. The main filter unit, contains the blower, dust separator, and gas and particulate filters.

In the H12GPFU-24 system, the air purifier is mounted inside the vehicle. Contaminated is air is pulled into the unit by a centrifugal fan and then passed through a dust separator, which removes coarse particles from the air stream and discharge them through openings in the back of the system. The air then passes through an HF12P particulate filter that removes toxic particles and aerosols at an efficiency of 99.97% at .3 microns and an HF12G gas filter that removes gaseous contaminants from the air stream. The purified air is then distributed individually to vehicle crew air masks via air supply hoses.

The H12GPFU-24 military version the M8A3 is used in vehicles that cannot be pressurized or that its operational mode requires open doors such as the M88 recovery vehicle or an ambulance.
