The HF10G is the civilian version of the M18A1 US Army gas filter. The HF10G is a radial flow filter canister self enclosed so filter replacement involves minimum exposure. The flow trough the filter is from the outer diameter of filter bed through the carbon bed into the inner tube and out through the filter outlet. The filter long body versus small diameter allows for relative low-pressure drop (1.7 IWG maximum) across the filter. The HF10G gas filter utilizes ASZM-TEDA, 12 x 30 activated carbon to remove gaseous toxic agents from the air. The filter is housed in a thin steel housing and fitted with smooth hose adapters. Hunter HF10G filters are commonly used in the H20GPFU-24 gas particulate filter unit and their military equivalents (M18A1 and M13A1) can be found in the M1 Abrams main battle tank, the LAV and many other tracked and wheeled military vehicles. Hunter Manufacturing Company manufactures its chemical biological filters in tightly controlled production lots to insure quality.
