Features:
The HF12G gas filter and the HF12P particulate filter are the civilian versions of the M12A2 and the M13 respectively. These filters are the standard filters for the H12GPFU-24 12-cfm CBRN filtration unit and it military counterpart the M8A3. The H12GPFU-24 provides purified air to individual vehicle crewmembers when positive cabin pressure cannot be maintained. As such it is used as a backup CBRN system in many armored vehicles and as a primary system in tactical vehicles that do not have an enclosed cabin or require an open cabin for operation. Various applications for the HF12G and HF12P filter set include the M88 Recovery Vehicle, and the M58 Smoke generator among others. In the H12GPFU-24 CBRN filtration unit, the HF12G/HF12P filter set is housed within the air purifier, which also contains a blower and an inertial dust separator (cyclone). Contaminated air passes through the fan and cyclone to the HF12P particulate filter and finally through the HF12G gas filter before being distributed to vehicle crew via air-supply hoses. The HF12G gas filter utilizes ASZM-TEDA 12x30 high-grade activated carbon to remove gaseous toxic agents from the air stream. The HF12P particulate filter utilizes a glass microfiber media per U.S. military specification MIL-F-51079 to remove toxic particles, chemical agents in aerosol form and bio matter at an efficiency rate of 99.97% at 0.3 microns. Although described as a set both filters are sold separately and can be used independent of each other.
