 Application Statement
The Cargo Bay Heater Installation Kit (CBHIK) was developed to allow the installation of an auxiliary heating system in the cargo area of van bodies and larger heavy wheeled vehicles. Once installed this system provides up to 60,000 BTU of warm air the cargo area and battery compartment. The CBHIK incorporates the Hunter A20 Heater, a compact multi-fuel which was originally developed for the United States Army Tank-Automotive Armaments Command (TACOM).
CBHIK Features:
- Kit contains all hardware, housing components, hoses and fittings necessary to install an A-20 heater in an enclosed area
- Sealed exhaust port safely directs exhaust to the exterior of the vehicle

General Product Description:
The CBHIK comes complete with all of materials required to install an A-20 heater in the cargo bay of van bodies or heavy wheeled vehicles. The kit includes all of the necessary connections and fittings. Installation can be accomplished by one person in approximately four hours and can be easily removed when required. Removal and re-installation can be accomplished in approximately one hour’s time for each operation.
The A20 heater is a dual output unit with the heat level selectable between 60,000 BTU and 30,000 BTU. The High - Low switch on the optional remote control box or vehicle master panel controls the heat output. The multi-fuel compatibility includes DF1, DF2, DFA and JP8. Combustion air intake can be taken from outside the heated compartment, and the exhaust gases are expelled outside the heated area for complete isolation of the combustion and ventilating air.
