Application Statement:
Designed to remove toxic chemical and biological warfare agents in gaseous (vapor) and aerosol (particulate) forms from the air stream, while providing toxic free environment to personnel or equipment by creating positive pressure in the toxic free area (TFA).

The FFA400-300 consists of a passive inertial particle separator, an internal, variable speed motor-blower assembly, two M98, 200-cfm gas and particulate filter sets, and a filter housing equipped with integrated captured hardware mounted into a composite container.

The variable speed motor-blower assembly is mounted internally to the filter housing. The motor controller unit is capable of receiving external speed signal from an auxiliary device such as the built-in constant flow or the pressure control (SCM) used on the M93 (5-19-9118). The motor speed is varied electronically to maintain constant flow (400±20-cfm) under variable temperature and altitude conditions and as the filters get loaded. The system is equipped with a corded handheld remote control, which includes the On/Off switches, system performance indicator, as well as fault conditions.

The FFA400-300 is an ideal system for integration with lightweight expeditionary tent systems and mobile shelters.

The FFA400-300 includes a special 'Y' cable that has been added to allow the FFA400-300 to receive its power from the FDECU or LECU split phase connectors. It is also supplied with two 4" ID x7' long chemical resistant air supply ducts. The ducts, the 'Y' cable and the system manual are conveniently stored within the system container.
