HUNTER DEFENSE TECHNOLOGIES ACQUIRES POWERSYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL

(October 25, 2005; Solon, Ohio) - Hunter Defense Technologies announced their acquisition of PowerSystems International, Inc. (PSI), a veteran-owned small business that specializes in the development of power generation systems, power distribution and control equipment, and environmental control units (ECUs) for military applications. The transfer became effective on Friday, October 14, 2005.

Vince Nardy, chief executive officer of Hunter Defense Technologies, announced in his statement, "We, at Hunter, are very pleased and excited about acquiring PSI. Over the past 10 years, they have grown to be an influential and reputable supplier of military products. We look forward to combining each of our respective technologies and expanding our manufacturing capabilities, opening new doors for Hunter in the industry."

Located in Natural Bridge Station, VA, PSI has two modern manufacturing facilities and is equipped to perform the design, development, assembly and test of military equipment. With a quality program that conforms to ISO 9001 regulations, a large product focus is on trailer systems equipped with transaxle mounted generator sets with ECUs that support rapidly deployable shelters used for operation centers, command posts and mobile surgical hospitals. Larger power generation equipment is also manufactured for applications such as mobile and stationary radar installations.

"PSI has an unparallel expertise in innovations for ECU," said Nardy. "As we work to continually expand our shelter technologies for military applications, the addition of PSI's strategically designed product line will allow us to provide our customers with even more options, helping them meet their operational goals."

Hunter Defense Technologies' wholly-owned subsidiary Hunter Manufacturing Company, Inc. (HMC), is a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) air filtration products for military and non-military applications. In addition, HMC designs and produces a wide range of heater products used by the military for the heating of vehicles, as well as temporary and semi-permanent shelters. Earlier this year, Hunter Defense Technologies acquired Bea Maurer, Inc., a leading manufacturer of shelter products for both military and homeland security applications under the name Base-X Expeditionary Shelters.
