HUNTER MANUFACTURING OPENS WEB LINK TO ENCOURAGE SMALL BUSINESS PARTNERING ON DOD CONTRACTSVisit the SDP section of this site (January 20, 2006; Solon, Ohio) - In a statement by Jack Custer, VP of Sales and Marketing for Hunter Manufacturing Company, Hunter announced the recent revision of the company’s website which included the addition of a section dedicated to enhancing the company’s small business partnering activities. In his statement Custer said, "As a company which has risen from the ranks of small business during our long history with the Department of Defense (DoD), we appreciate and fully support the Supply Diversity Program. Since we began the development of our SDP in 2003 we have successfully partnered with a significant number of small, disadvantaged and minority owned companies. These firms have proven to be a valuable resource in the execution of the contracts we are awarded. As we move forward in our growth, we will continue to actively pursue additional companies which meet the criteria of the SDP Small and Disadvantaged Business profile."Custer went on to say, "To facilitate the on going development of this resource, we have established a stand- alone department within Hunter to seek out companies who we can work with on future contracts. Mr. Bryan Moon and Mr. Gary Palof have the responsibility for development of these contacts and do so through a variety of channels. Bryan and Gary actively pursue potential partners through personal contacts, industry groups, SBA functions and Chamber of Commerce activities. Today however; the addition of this section to our website will open new avenues for companies to come to us with information we can use to qualify them for participation." Visitors will be able to submit an application form that will become part of a database from which Hunter will qualify potential partners.
